+1 on the DT axle. i have this axle on my camber pro 29er and would say its comparable in stiffness to 15mm TAs that ive ridden. definately more so than it is to a QR. and it fits pretty precisely in the dropouts so rotor alignment has never been a problem. i would consider it a ratcheting bolt on axle more than a QR.

this is definately an interesting article and really just confirmed my rationalization on this topic ie if your riding moto wear a moto lid, if your riding a DH bike wear a DH helmet. if there wasnt a difference then all the big companies that make both wouldnt waste time and money making two different types. also some of you make some good points and im no physicist but if F=(m*a) wouldnt the added mass of a MX lid only increase the force indured by your brain?

Does anybody know the reasoning behind the circular hole in all urge helmets visors'? Does it have functionality or is it just for looks?

Had a set of elixirs on my bike from that factory and they had a nice bleed. The pad contact was a little annoying and didn't go away fully until the pads wore down some due to my hub face not being completely square. All in all they are very good brakes for a trail bike and as light or lighter than any in it's price range if that matters to you. I bought a set of shimano XTs with 6 bolt ice tech rotors that are supposed to be "completely true and very hard to bend" and I have the same if not more rub with them than i did with the avids initially FWIW.
